Stieglerhof

A major fire destroyed all the historic buildings of the three-sided farm in 2014. With architect Peter DΓΌrschinger, the farm ensemble was recreated. Local sandstone stands as a reminder of the history of the Stiegler farm and was complemented with traditional timber construction from the farm's own spruce and pine. The use of these two building materials for construction and facade shapes the buildings of the Hazelnuss-Hof into a haptic unity. The facade of the residential building consists of a vertically arranged timber boarding and stands out from the traditional farm buildings thanks to a grey colourwash with KEIM Lignosil-Verano.

Building, living and doing business in harmony with nature

The Stieglerhof has an eventful history: family-owned for more than 350 years, a major fire destroyed all the historic buildings in 2014. Only the forge built of sandstone was spared. Together with the architect Peter DΓΌrschinger, the family rebuilt the three-sided farm typical of the Middle Franconian region. New buildings, necessitated by the self-marketing of the farm's own hazelnut cultivation, were integrated into the farm ensemble with unmistakable character. Local sandstone stands as a reminder of the history of the Stiegler farm and was complemented with traditional timber construction using the farm's own spruce and pine. The use of these two building materials for construction and facade shapes the buildings of the hazelnut farm into a haptic unity. The warehouse and halls are built using traditional floor boarding.
