From March 2014 to April 2015, the Gallery underwent the most profound restoration since the Second World War, in view of Milan Expo 2015. The restoration, preceded by in-depth analyses, agreed to bring the plasterwork of the Gallery back to its original colours. This was followed by restoration and cleaning of the stone and decorative concrete surfaces.
