Casa Hartmann - Merano

Casa Hartmann was built in 1885 near the railway station: this Art Nouveau building for about a century housed the homonymous shipping company,

The building, protected by the Superintendence, was built by the shipper Rudolf Hartmann as a residential and business building. Recently the company has decided to use the historic headquarters for an exclusive residential use.

With the approval and authorization of the committee for architectural culture of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, the project involved the demolition of the annexes and the roof of the main building with the addition of a new six-storey building on the east side , divided into deep internal courtyards. The result is a harmonious fusion between old and new.

To complete the good building practices and respect for the environment, the use of KEIM Granital paint based on liquid potassium silicate compliant with VOB/C DIN 18363 2.4.1 standards, composed of pure mineral substances and resistant inorganic pigments to the light.
