The Assumption of Our Lady Church, Harvest Road, Englefield Green, Surrey

The Assumption of Our Lady, is a Roman Catholic church in Englefield Green, Surrey, which was designed by Joseph Goldie and built from 1930 to 1931.

MacConvilles Surveyors contacted KEIM as they had previously worked on a project using our products and remembered the benefits. They felt that KEIM was most suitable for this type of building due to its longevity and breathability benefits.

All loose and flaking materials were removed as part of the preparation process, with certain areas needing to be newly lime rendered to create a sound base.  KEIM Spachtel was used for small repairs within the old render.

KEIM Soldalit Fixativ was applied onto the new lime render, followed by a coat of KEIM Soldalit Grob over all surfaces to equalise surface textures and fill hairline cracks. KEIM Soldalit was specified as a top coat to give a fresh, white finish, which will provide breathability and protect against mould and algae growth for many years to come.
