Strandparken in Aarhus, Denmark
Strandparken in Aarhus is located on an elevated site in Frederiksberg overlooking Aarhus Bay.
The apartment blocks have been renovated in the period 2015-2018, and the facades have been brought back to the original intended colours (yellow, green, red and blue) as described by architect Alfred Mogensen back in 1935.
In connection with the renovation, colour archaeological analyses were carried out and the colour scheme was chosen based on the colours uncovered and aesthetic considerations.
The apartment blocks are painted with KEIM Granital (several special colours).
