HΓΆΓΆrs Kyrka

HΓΆΓΆrs Kyrka is centrally located in HΓΆor.

The church was built by MΓ₯rten StenmΓ€stare in the 12th century. Like the Cathedral in Lund, it is built with stone from HΓΆΓΆr's Stenkog.

The apse, chancel and nave are from the medieval church. The longhouse was extended in the 17th century. The north side arm was added in 1769. The current tower dates from 1821. Its spire was added in 1890. In the same year the south cross arm was built and the church provided with stair gables.

The facade was most recently painted in 2023 with KEIM Granital (9117) and KEIM Soldalit (white, 9870).
