Parliament building

The building of the parliamentary committees is located near the Sejm at 1 Wiejska Street. It was designed in 2001 by the architectural firm Stelmach i Partnerzy, which won the competition for the Sejm complex. With a total area of 10,000 m², of which 8,000 m² is above ground, part of the building extends under the street and the Old House of Deputies and is connected to the Sejm complex on the other side of the street. The light-coloured concrete facade blends harmoniously into the surroundings and was designed in consultation with the monument protection authorities. The concrete surfaces were colour-matched using the semi-transparent KEIM Concretal-Lasur.
