CADFEM headquarters

For its new office building in Grafing, CADFEM chose the right material in the right place: wood as a load-bearing element, as a façade and as interior cladding. Reinforced concrete for the basement, emergency staircases and technical rooms. The star-shaped building is intended to reflect the company's philosophy and, in addition to ecological concerns, to enable contemporary working in the sense of 'New Work'. Munich-based architects nbundm, who were responsible for planning and implementing the project, fulfilled this wish. In addition to the offices, a fitness room, a parent-child room and a sun terrace were created. The solid timber construction with formwork made of pre-greyed silver fir is in keeping with the rural location and regional construction methods.
