About this project

The owners and decorator are over the moon with the finish of KEIM on this beautiful, detached, Georgian property in Cornwall.

The previously painted render and concrete sills were thoroughly cleaned to remove dust and dirt from the surface. KEIM Algicid was applied to prevent mould and algae and KEIM IG Primer was used to treat the rust stains. Repairs were carried out using KEIM Universal Render (Unitputz 1.3), followed by a coat of KEIM Royalan Grob to equalise the surface. The two-coat system of KEIM Royalan was then applied in a shade of white onto the render and black on the sills. The owners are very pleased with the results.

A lovely testimonial from the owners: β€œJoel is an exceptional professional taking real pride in his work. We have an old Georgian house whose exterior was looking tired, rust was seeping through in places and numerous cracking in the render.

Joel talked us through the options and recommended paint by KEIM. We spent time with him considering the different paint options and his advice was excellent differentiating between shades of white so that it didn’t dazzle but showed just the right amount of light reflection in a refined way.

Joel kept us informed throughout - in fact we were on holiday in France when he did the work and coordinated scaffolding, repairs and the exterior painting itself. When we returned to see the finished product we were truly thrilled that the decoration had enhanced the look and feel of the house.

We can’t recommend Joel highly enough. His attention to detail and knowledge of the paints and treatments resulted in an excellent outcome.”
