7 Dane John, Canterbury

7 Dane John is an end of terrace, Grade II listed building in Canterbury, Kent. Rowe & Martin Ltd stripped the existing painted render to allow full breathability of the KEIM products. Patch repairs were carried out using KEIM Universal Render Fine, followed by a two-coat system of KEIM Soldalit to provide light reflectivity and colour stability.

Keim is recommend for listed building because it is breathable. Dampness is well known in older buildings which is caused by leaks and lack of damp-proof course. KEIM will allow the walls to breathe as it forms a chemical bond that keeps water out and lets water vapour through. This increases the longevity of KEIM, which means customers won’t need to redecorate for many years to come.
