About this project
Situated on the edge of the beautiful village of Winterton-on-Sea, this Grade II listed lighthouse was used as a lookout tower during World War II. It has recently been made available for holiday rentals and been photographed for many publications including World of Interiors magazine and Vogue. It has also been featured on Channel 4โs โHome by the Seaโ.
KEIM were contacted by the Kevin Gilroy for an appropriate paint due to the location of the project with wind, rain and salt from the easterly winds off the North Sea attacking the facades. All loose and unstable previous coatings were removed and redecorated using KEIM Soldalit Grob to equalise hairline cracks, followed by KEIM Soldalit-ME in White. KEIM Concretal-Black in Purity was applied onto the plinths achieving a deep shade of black.
