A white-pigmented primer paint for interior use based on sol-silicate technology, free from added preservatives

KEIM Innoprim, the new white-pigmented primer paint

KEIM Innoprim is the new white-pigmented primer paint designed to even out and reduce substrate absorbency on large walls subjected to glancing light and/or mixed substrates.

Currently, in interior construction and renovation projects, plasterboard panels are commonly used for partitions or lining systems. However, a frequent problem when painting over this substrate is the appearance of visible seams, joint fillers, or chromatic differences between materials, affecting the final result, particularly under glancing light.

KEIM Innoprim is specifically formulated to address these issues. It is a technical primer based on sol-silicate technology, free from added preservatives, and specially designed to prepare surfaces adequately before the application of mineral paint. Thanks to its advanced formula, KEIM Innoprim equalises substrate absorbency and significantly extends the open time of subsequent paint applications, preventing visible joints and variations in tone.

This solution is particularly beneficial for plasterboard surfaces in new construction projects and interior renovations, where areas previously painted with plastic paint coexist alongside recently filled sections. Additionally, being a white-pigmented primer, it homogenises the surface colour.

With KEIM Innoprim, painting professionals can apply KEIM mineral paints to achieve uniform, flawless, and long-lasting finishes, equalising differing substrate absorptions and ensuring excellent results on every project.

KEIM Innoprim fulfills the requirements of DIN 18363 section 2.4.1 (dispersion silicate paints). Innoprim equalizes different absorbencies and extends the open time for subsequent silicate coats.

A healthy, ecological, and environmentally sustainable primer, KEIM Innoprim holds the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver certification and the C2C Certified Material Health Certificate™ Gold.
