Fundación Marta Ortega Pérez (MOP Foundation)
In the world of art, every detail matters, and the spotlight extends beyond the displayed works to include the surrounding environment. The recent Irving Penn exhibition at the Marta Ortega Pérez Foundation (MOP Foundation) is a perfect example of how the choice of colour and materials can transform a visual experience. The iconic photographs of the American artist shared the stage with the walls that framed them, painted with KEIM Innostar mineral paint in elegant, earthy tones.
This project is also a fantastic example of international collaboration, with the shades coming from a colour palette developed exclusively by KEIM UK, the team of interior designers responsible for the colour selection hailing from Belgium, and the paint supplied by KEIM Spain. The selection of colours, made possible by the extensive range of KEIM Innostar colours, was no coincidence. The warm tones of the walls create a perfect contrast with the black-and-white artworks, generating an immersive atmosphere that enhances the visitor experience
The matte elegance of KEIM Innostar interior paint reveals three sophisticated, earthy tones that enhance the exhibited works
KEIM Innostar is a ready-to-use sol-silicate paint for interiors demanding perfection. Its deep, matte finish transforms any space, adding a touch of exclusivity and sophistication. Furthermore, thanks to its mineral formulation, it is a healthy option, ideal for public spaces like this one.
The Marta Ortega Pérez Foundation (MOP) is a private, non-profit organisation dedicated to hosting high-level exhibitions. The MOP centre is located in the port area of A Coruña and was designed by the local architect Elsa Urquijo. An architecturally iconic building, as it involved the transformation of former silos and an industrial warehouse into a cultural space accessible to the city, with the sea as a central feature.
In this unique setting, KEIM Innostar mineral paint has proven to be the ideal solution for its exhibition space. It is an emission-free, environmentally friendly mineral paint that meets the highest aesthetic standards while adhering to the sustainability values upheld by the institution. A healthy paint formulated without the addition of preservatives, plasticisers, or solvents, it is virtually odourless and resistant to disinfectants.
Visitors to the Irving Penn exhibition encountered not only a comprehensive display of 175 photographs by the artist but also a space designed to highlight every detail.
At KEIM, we are proud to have contributed to creating the perfect canvas for an unforgettable experience, where art and architecture came together in perfect harmony.
