Support with heart and colour
Social commitment is part of KEIM's corporate identity. Numerous measures demonstrate the responsibility for the communities in which KEIM is active worldwide: from concrete aid in the event of a disaster to projects to support children and young people and initiatives in the areas of education, culture and sport. The aim is always to provide added value for society over and above the actual business.
Examples of KEIM's social commitment worldwide:
Help in emergency situations
- Support for the victims of the severe earthquake in Albania in 2019
- Sponsorship of 70 partition walls for the vocational school in Augsburg during the coronavirus pandemic
- Support for those affected by the floods in the Ahr valley in 2021 and the floods at the KEIM site in Diedorf in 2024
Promotion of projects in the field of education and culture
- Support in setting up Germany's first circular "classroom of the future" according to circular economy criteria as well as aesthetic and educational aspects such as the role of light for concentration; presentation of the pilot project together with the "C2C NGO" at trade fairs and via social media;
- Voluntary involvement in training and further education on the topic of healthy and sustainable building, including at universities of applied sciences and vocational training centres
- Support for architecture degree programmes and master schools
- Product sponsorship of a 1200 square metre mural in Cremona as part of the "Together for the SDGs" campaign, which was supported by the UN SDG Action Campaign, among others, to raise awareness of the goals of global, sustainable development. Use of a KEIM facade paint that reduces the concentration of pollutants in the air due to its chemical and physical properties.
Support for children and young people
- Financial sponsorship of, among other things, a football club for young people that is recognised in France as a "club with a social mission" and of measures in the fight against paedophilia.
- Product sponsorship and personnel support for the expansion of the new venue for the Junges Theater Augsburg: JTA's old venue had to be closed in 2020 for structural reasons. All colours for the expansion of the new venue, which will open in 2025, were sponsored by KEIM. The JTA, which reopened in 2025, is of great importance as a modern storytelling theatre for children, young people and families, as a theatre education centre that offers workshops and scenic learning in schools and as an important part of Augsburg's community stage.
- "Die Wiege" Odelzhausen: Under the artistic direction of the artist duo 44flavours (Julio RΓΆlle and Sebastian Bagge), 37 children and over 80 employees of the curative children's home "Die Wiege" in Odelzhausen redesigned their own home. The paint was sponsored by KEIM.
- In the AllgΓ€u region, the "Artist for kids" association and the WESTWING furniture store, among others, revitalised an old farmhouse with KEIM products. Over 200 square metres of "cowshed" were given a new ecological and healthy coat of paint to make them available as open workshop, creative and event rooms for the ANTENNE BAYERN hilft house in Weicht. The house offers socially disadvantaged children the opportunity to spend carefree holidays there.
- Primary school "A. Manzoni in Marasolo in the province of Varese/Italy: The artist Roberto Cellini, together with the pupils, the teaching staff and a group of people with disabilities, designed a total of 150 mΒ² of wall surface. The products were sponsored by KEIM Italy.
