The Sentinel Haus Institute is a leading engineering service provider and authority on healthier building, renovation and refurbishment. Sentinel Haus Institut GmbH is the result of a research project conducted by the German Federal Environmental Foundation and has since been collaborating with various university-based research institutions, attorneys, environmental medical professionals, and construction practitioners to further develop healthier indoor spaces.
For a long time now, silicate paints have been leading the way in low-emission wall coatings. KEIM mineral paints do not require the addition of preservatives, plasticizers or harmful solvents. They have also been recognised as environmentally sustainable and for their contribution to healthy homes, for example with the award of the natureplus quality mark. For this reason, it is only logical that the best established supplier in this sector should place part of its product range in the largest database of verifiably healthy building products
According to Thomas Niedermayr, the Sales Director for KEIMFARBEN in Germany and Austria, when the partnership was announced at the BAU 2019 trade fair, 'For us, the most important sales channel is direct contact with professional manufacturers, but also with health-conscious architects, construction companies and investors that are operating in a sustainable way. And we can find them on this platform.'
Currently, nine KEIM exterior and interior paints can be researched in the data base for emissions-tested building materials and healthier properties. All the products listed can be downloaded via: www.bauverzeichnis.gesündere-gebäude.de
