KEIM auf der BAU 2025

Product excellence for sustainability

At the world's largest trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, BAU in Munich from January 13 to 17, 2025, we will present ourselves as experts in circular, durable and healthy building and introduce innovative mineral product and system solutions.

Our core topics at BAU 2025

  • Certified sustainability with healthy living and ecological products
  • Future-proof thermal insulation with resource-efficient and biocide-free solutions
  • Facade design with functional and aesthetic added value

Certified sustainability: healthy living and ecological products

The concept of sustainability has characterised our business activities for over 145 years. The step from linear to circular action on the way to a recyclable industry, the circular economy, is a logical one. We provide proof of this with product certification in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle Certifiedยฎ concept, the standard for the development and manufacture of recyclable products. Already 80 products have received Cradle to Cradle Certifiedยฎ certification in silver and have also been awarded the Material Health CertificateTM in gold. That is over 85 per cent of KEIM paint sales. KEIM products also fulfil the requirements for the Sustainable Building QNG quality seal, which confirms the special ecological, socio-cultural and economic quality of buildings. Healthy living and ecological, because they are naturally mineral and anti-mould, have impeccable indoor air hygiene and contain no added preservatives - planners, architects, building owners and customers can rely on these properties with KEIM products.

The new KEIM JANUS product continues this development. The clay-lime-based interior plaster is reusable and therefore 100 per cent recyclable and also leaves a significantly lower CO2 footprint than conventional interior plasters. Thanks to its special binder formulation, KEIM JANUS can be removed from the wall if necessary and the resulting granulate can be added to new JANUS plaster mixes.

Sustainable thermal insulation: resource-efficient and biocide-free

Choosing the right insulation system is important for our future life in a sustainably protected environment. However, not all insulation is the same. In addition to the technical values, the service life and materiality of the individual products also influence the sustainability profile of an insulation system. Insulation systems from KEIM make the decision easy.

For example, KEIM XSulation-STAR: The system, which is completely biocide-free, offers flexibility in the choice of insulation material and reinforcement structure (thick or thin layer) and is characterised by a CO2-reduced top coat and a coating with the long-lasting, Cradle to Cradle-certified sol-silicate paint KEIM Twinstar. In any case, all system products are mineral-based and ensure an outstanding, sustainable eco-profile.

With the new KEIM Porosil-IP75 thermal insulation render, KEIM completes its range of products for increasing the energy efficiency of buildings. The sprayable, extremely low-stress render is used wherever conventional insulation methods cannot be used due to structural conditions. KEIM Porosil-IP75 is used as a lightweight render system in combination with subsequent mesh reinforcement, finishing render and paint.

Facade design: Mineral paints with added value

Photocatalytically effective coatings for clean air and clean faรงades, coatings that reduce the solar heating of faรงades, glazes for the special aesthetics of concrete or decorative and biocide-free protection of wooden substrates: KEIM products for faรงades leave nothing to be desired in terms of functionality and aesthetics for planners, architects and building owners - all mineral-based and permanently colour-stable.

A new product is the mineral thin-layer paint Lignosil-Artis for economically efficient decorative coatings on fine-textured wood. It emphasises the character of rough-sawn and structurally planed timber components and is ideal for the initial factory coating using industrial processes. The coating is used for the initial factory coating using industrial processes.

See, feel, experience

We welcome all trade fair visitors to stand 231 in hall A1 and invite them on a journey of discovery. In line with the motto โ€˜See, feel, experienceโ€™, the exhibits of functional coatings, sustainable insulation solutions and innovative plaster systems with their varied surfaces and textures offer a wide range of inspiration for your next building project. Allow yourself to be inspired!
