KEIM UK introduces itself

KEIM was founded in the UK in 1987 as a paint manufacturer, located in Telford, Shropshire. Our paints are hand crafted by experts in our factory in Telford.

We have 2 production staff that make the paint in the factory and ship to customers around the UK. There are 5 employees in sales, 1 Marketing Manager, 1 Operations Manager and 9 external representatives that are spread out all over the country meeting existing and new customers. Furthermore, there is 1 Financial Controller, 1 Commercial Manager and 1 Managing Director within our organisation.

David Pratt – Managing Director

Joined in January 1994

David joined KEIM in 1994 as an Internal Sales Manager and has had a number of promotions over the years. He became the Managing Director of KEIM Mineral Paints in 2007.

David has 3 sons, 3 cats and 2 dogs (a Pug and English Springer Spaniel). He enjoys walking, going on cruises with his wife and coaching football.

Jane Collins – Financial Controller

Joined in April 2007

Jane is one of our longest servicing members of staff and has been involved with KEIM Mineral Paints since 1989. Since then, Jane has been fundamental in the business’ growth and in 2007 changed her role to become Financial Controller and Company Secretary. As a Chartered Accountant, Jane is responsible for overseeing all of our financial activity and Group financial reporting.

Vanessa Fox – Commercial Manager

Joined in March 2009

Vanessa joined KEIM in 2009 and has responsibility for all commercial, technical, health and safety matters at the Telford factory and offices.

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys reading and cooking.

Sophie Hughes – Marketing Manager

Joined in December 2016

Sophie joined KEIM in 2016 and now oversees the marketing for the company. As part of her role, Sophie runs the social media platforms and website, produces creative content including videos. She designs marketing materials such as brochures, maintains and updates the customer database and organises and attends events such as exhibitions and trade shows.

Sophie has 2 cats and in her spare time, she goes to the gym and plays the saxophone.
 

Sian Miles – Operations Manager

Joined in February 2018

Sian joined KEIM in 2018 and manages our production and sales. Her role includes crafting the paint orders, controlling production, arranging logistics, and managing stock control.

Sian is kept busy inside and outside of work, she has 2 children and enjoys reading and going to the gym.

Nicola Young – Senior Colourist

Joined in April 1990

Nicola joined KEIM in 1990, originally managing production, and colour mixing. More recently, as part of KEIM’s customer support, she offers advice to clients to help translate their colour ideas into reality.

As part of her role, Nicola conducts colour trials, colour matching, delivers CPDs, and brick tinting trials, whilst sharing her vast knowledge on paint effects. She has been involved in a wide variety of projects that have taken her around the world, and met clients including the rich and famous, modern and historic homeowners, decorators and architects.

Nicola has a dog called Nelson and enjoys skiing.

Anton Boekhoudt – National Architectural Business Development Manager

Joined in July 2014

Anton joined KEIM in 2014 and is our National Architectural Business Development Manager. His role involves site visits to advise and offer guidance on projects, provide specifications, and complete colour matching trials. This service is offered free of charge. Anton is on hand to offer continuous support and assistance to customers.

Anton enjoys riding his bike in his spare time.

James Best – Senior Sales Executive

Joined in May 2008

James joined KEIM in 2008 and is our Senior Sales Executive for London. His role involves site visits to advise and offer guidance on projects, provide specifications, and complete colour matching trials. This service is offered free of charge. James is on hand to offer continuous support and assistance to customers.

Tony Carter – Senior Sales Executive

Joined in February 2012

Tony joined KEIM in 2012 and is our Senior Sales Executive for Scotland and Northern Ireland. His role involves site visits to advise and offer guidance on projects, provide specifications, and complete colour matching trials. This service is offered free of charge. Tony is on hand to offer continuous support and assistance to customers.

Simon Round – Customer Service Manager

Joined in July 2007

Simon originally joined KEIM as an Internal Sales Advisor in 2007 and has since become the Customer Service Manager. He manages the internal sales team and is responsible for covering the East and West of England alongside the external representatives.

Simon has a cat called Wilf and likes to ride his bike outside of work.

Bryan Roe – Senior Sales Executive

Joined in April 2017

Bryan joined KEIM in 2017 and is our Senior Sales Executive for the West of England. His role involves site visits to advise and offer guidance on projects, provide specifications, and complete colour matching trials. This service is offered free of charge. Bryan is on hand to offer continuous support and assistance to customers.

Karen Lamb – Internal Sales Advisor

Joined in May 2010

Karen joined KEIM in 2010 as an Internal Sales Advisor. Her roles include order processing, inputting data on the CRM system, answering the telephones and liaising with our couriers.

Paul Milligan – Area Business Development Manager

Joined in June 2000

Paul joined KEIM in 2000 and is our Area Business Development Manager for the North of England. His role involves site visits to advise and offer guidance on projects, provide specifications, and complete colour matching trials. This service is offered free of charge. Paul is on hand to offer continuous support and assistance to customers.

Karen Mitton – Administrator

Joined in January 2002

Karen joined KEIM in 2002 and is our Administrator. Her role involves invoicing, monitoring deliveries, stationery and material stock takes.

Helen Marvin – Administrator/Data Entering

Joined in July 2021

Helen joined KEIM in 2021 as an Administrator/Data Entry. Her roles include order processing, inputting data on the CRM system and answering the telephones.

Jakob Brooks – Internal Sales Advisor

Joined in June 2021

Jakob joined KEIM in 2021 originally as a Production Operative and has recently joined the sales office. He supports our external representatives who cover the North and West of England. His roles include order processing, producing specifications, answering the telephones and liaising with our couriers.

An interesting fact about Jakob is that he says he has clown feet as they’re size 13 and get in the way.

Julian Cullum – Senior Sales Executive

Joined in October 2006

Julian joined KEIM in 2006 and is our Senior Sales Executive for the South West of England. His role involves site visits to advise and offer guidance on projects, provide specifications, and complete colour matching trials. This service is offered free of charge. Julian is on hand to offer continuous support and assistance to customers.

Richard Perry – National Sales Manager

Joined in July 2010

Richard joined KEIM in 2010 and is our Area Business Development Manager for the South East of England. His role involves site visits to advise and offer guidance on projects, provide specifications, and complete colour matching trials. This service is offered free of charge. Richard is on hand to offer continuous support and assistance to customers.

In Richard’s spare time, he runs a cadet’s club.
