About This Project

The owners wished to have the architectural details including brick and mortar without the ongoing maintenance.  The decision was to install a two coat application of KEIM UniversalPutz Render with KEIM Glass Fiber Mesh to ensure a crack-free surface without control joints for as long as the structure stands.  This rendered surface received two coats of KEIM Royalan to serve as the painting canvas and the artistic painting was accomplished with the base pigments of KEIM Royalan using KEIM Royalan Dilution to thin them.

KEIM Royalan is a ready-to-use exterior mineral silicate paint system for use in subtropic/tropic conditions. It offers water repellency, high vapor permeability and forms a chemical bond with the mineral substrate. KEIM Royalan is made using pure inorganic mineral fillers, absolutely lightfast inorganic pigments, additives and potassium silicate binder.

Dilution and primer for the products of the KEIM Royalan system. Reacts chemically with the mineral surface. The product comprises of liquid potassium silicate, pure acrylate, stabilizers and additives.
